Accessibility and reading
A useful evidence page has to make its limitations as readable as its headline. Strain & Standard is designed to keep source context, unanswered questions and the complete professional question in the ordinary reading flow.
Full text at a usable size
Essential prose, source notes, labels and controls use a standard 22-pixel reading size with a 26-pixel option. Browser zoom remains available. Long titles and source names wrap instead of being shortened with an ellipsis. The article and fixed-reader prose follow one column, including on wider screens.
Navigation with visible destinations
A skip link leads to the main content. Ordinary links connect the library, article contents, record directory and source references. Keyboard focus is visible, and named sections accept direct fragment navigation. The four short home words link to complete records; their accessible names retain the corresponding record title.
No hidden evidence step
All sixteen reader paragraphs remain open. The source-scope and unresolved paragraphs are grouped together without making color the sole way to distinguish them. Article sections and source descriptions are available without opening a disclosure widget. The evidence can be read and navigated with JavaScript disabled; the optional size button requires JavaScript.
